Platform policy
These terms apply to everyone hiring through Hire Staff (Qatar) — households and businesses. By submitting a hiring request or quote you agree to them.
1. Our role
Everyone- Hire Staff (Qatar) is a marketplace that connects households and businesses with manpower agencies registered in Qatar. We are not the employer of any worker listed on the platform.
- Employment or service contracts are made between you and the agency (and, where applicable, the worker). Each agency is responsible for its licensing, visas, worker documentation and the accuracy of its listings.
- Profiles marked “Illustrated profile” use an avatar instead of a photograph; a real photo is available from the agency on request.
2. Fair & ethical recruitment
Everyone- Workers must never be charged recruitment fees, visa costs or any other placement charges. Qatar’s Labour Law prohibits agencies from collecting such fees from workers. Report any request for payment from a worker to us immediately.
- Requests must not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnicity, gender or any other protected characteristic beyond genuine, lawful job requirements.
- Workers keep their own passports and identity documents. Retaining a worker’s passport without their written consent is restricted under Qatari residency law.
- Forced labour, debt bondage or restricting a worker’s freedom of movement or communication is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the authorities.
3. Home hiring — your obligations
Home hiring- Domestic workers are protected by the Domestic Workers Law (No. 15 of 2017): a working day of no more than 10 hours with rest breaks, at least one paid rest day per week, three weeks of paid annual leave, and end-of-service pay of at least three weeks’ wages per year of service.
- Wages must be paid in full and on time, at least monthly, and never below the national minimum wage (Law No. 17 of 2020): QAR 1,000 basic, plus QAR 500 for housing and QAR 300 for food unless adequate accommodation and food are provided.
- Provide safe, private and decent accommodation, adequate food and access to medical care, as agreed in the contract.
- Replacement, cancellation and probation terms follow your contract with the agency.
4. Corporate hiring — your obligations
Corporate hiring- You confirm you are authorised to request staff on behalf of the company named in your request, and that it holds a valid Commercial Registration in Qatar.
- Deployed staff must receive at least the national minimum wage, wages paid through the Wage Protection System where applicable, and the working hours, rest days, leave and end-of-service benefits required by the Labour Law (No. 14 of 2004).
- Provide a safe workplace, required protective equipment and, where applicable, compliant accommodation and transport.
- Headcount, rates and deployment dates are confirmed only when the agency issues a quotation and you accept it. “Price on request” roles are quoted per requisition.
5. Quotes, contracts & payments
Everyone- Submitting a request or quote does not create a binding commitment. A placement is confirmed only when both parties accept a quotation and a contract is issued.
- Rates shown as “typical” or “indicative” are guidance only. The agreed contract rate applies.
- Salary records and receipts in the app reflect payments you log; you remain responsible for paying staff directly or through your agency as agreed.
6. Your data & privacy
Everyone- We process your contact details and hiring requirements only to match you with agencies and manage your requests, in line with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (No. 13 of 2016).
- Your request is shared with the agencies we match you with. With your consent we may contact you on WhatsApp about your request.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, at any time.
7. Conduct & enforcement
Everyone- Provide accurate information and treat workers and agency staff with dignity and respect.
- We may suspend accounts or listings that breach this policy or the law, and cooperate with the Ministry of Labour and other authorities where required.
This policy summarises obligations under Qatari law, including the Domestic Workers Law No. 15 of 2017, Labour Law No. 14 of 2004, Minimum Wage Law No. 17 of 2020, Personal Data Privacy Protection Law No. 13 of 2016 and Law No. 21 of 2015, as amended. It is not legal advice; the official legislation and Ministry of Labour guidance prevail.
